Her greatest interest in musicology is applying computers to musical analysis. She has undertaken musicological projects concerning music analysis from various points of view (music expression, music structure, etc.) From 2011-13, she led a Slovak team of musicologists in cooperation with the Austrian professor, Gerold Gruber, in a bilateral project - Creating the Future, Accentus Musicalis, concerning diffusions of Slovak music in Europe and European music in Slovakia. During her career, Eva Ferková has lectured papers at many European universities and conferences – including Kassel, Zürich, Berlin, Trento, Graz, Vienna, Zeilern, Warsaw, Malaga, Thessalonica, Rimini, and Prague. Since 2009, Eva has been the Head of the Department of Music Theory at MDF of APA in Bratislava. She has led and mentored many master and doctoral students in writing their theses. She has written 5 scientific monographs, a university textbook in Slovak and a university textbook in English (concerning musical theory and visualisation of the musical structure) in cooperation with her colleague, Ladislav Kačic. Her most recent monograph, Music Analysis, has two books, the 1st examines the theory of music analysis and the 2nd is a brief history of music analysis. She is also interested in research into the level of mastery in harmonisations of Slovak folk songs by different composers, and a method for comparing different musical styles and genres from the point of view of harmony using a computer.
Michal Šukola studied Applied informatics on Comenius university in Bratislava. His diploma thesis was about synthesis of singing voice. Given the sample of a vowel, the program was able to sing a melody. His interest for music led him to study on Conservatory in Bratislava, where he studied opera singing. He used to sing in the children choir of Slovak radio and later in youth choir Skovran in Petržalka.
After studies he has been working as a programer in the Capital markets segment. He joined Eva in 2011 to work on the analysis of harmony in Music.
